Hebrews 6:15-20, "A Sure and Steadfast Anchor of the Soul"

I confess: I have no idea why Hebrews 6:19-20 is not just as well known amongst evangelicals as John 3:16. It is truly one of the most incredible texts in all of Scripture. I felt deeply my inadequacy to communicate these divine truths during the evening service at the Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church, but here is the attempt.

We have this [the promise and pledge of God's unchangeable purpose] anchor of the soul, certain and firm, a hope which enters into the inner place behind the veil, where a Forerunner has gone in our behalf, Jesus, having been made a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
