I was joined by the famous TurretinFan and we discussed the claims of Peter Williams on a recent Unbelievable Radio Broadcast, primarily focusing on his arguments for the Papacy and against sola scriptura. Snuck in a Skype based DL from Detroit today. Talked about the possibility of taking the DL to ABN as well for a bi-weekly program, and the needs we would have to meet to be able to do so (see the blog entry below). Then we took calls on a wide variety of subjects, but mainly in reference to God's sovereignty in human affairs. The Dividing Line on ABN?

We have the opportunity to partner with ABN (www.abnsat.com) to provide a bi-weekly primetime television version of the Dividing Line hosted by yours truly. Many of you have enjoyed my appearances on ABN, and now in talking with Dr. Gorial, the head of ABN, he has asked if I would be willing to fly to Detroit regularly to host my own program. We would do a live broadcast and then record broadcasts at the same time for future airing (so I would only be flying to Detroit every other month). Yes, I know it would be a time commitment, but I am willing to do it if the people of God who support us make it possible. For the first year I would estimate that the flights, hotel, rental car, etc., would cost right at $5,000.00. We are putting this opportunity forward to our readers and supporters and will only pursue it if God's people indicate their support for it. Covered a wide range of topics today, such as: Psalm 36:4 and the need to despise evil; the growing evidence that the "Gospel of Jesus' Wife" fragment is a modern day fraud; the fundamentalist, non-reflective secularism of Adam Gopnik; Paul Williams' love affair with the nuttiest of history and theology; more examples of how intolerant those of the left are at universities and even high schools; the Billy Graham Association's removing of any reference to Mormonism as a cult; and the Dinesh D'Souza situation at King's College as a sign of the failure of "Mere Christianity" thinking. Brother Jack's "Sermon" on a Radio Free Geneva Today on the Dividing Line

Well, I had been told "Brother Jack" was calling in today, but alas---the phones were silent. But that didn't keep me from spending 100 minutes on the topic, playing, and responding to, the entirety of this "sermon" that is founded upon a dogmatic dedication to 1) a hatred of the truths of the doctrines of grace, and 2) the denial that God has any purpose to produce a holy people united to Jesus Christ. If you want to see how perverted a view the Wilkins/Chay type of "no repentance in salvation" kind of teaching can produce, well, "Brother Jack" gives you quite the view. Here's the program.Also, I forgot to blog last Thursday's program (since I was traveling and, evidently, I am the only one with access to the blog! < g >). We had an important discussion of the recent study showing that "Protestants" are now less than 50% of the US population, and I discussed how the "Nones" are now 20%, and what this means for evangelism and apologetics. Then we went back to Paul Williams' comments, almost finishing off his opening statement. Here's the program.

Remember Brother Jack's (now private) video "sermon" explaining why I am going to hell (and why I'm a jerk, an idiot, stupid, etc.)? Well, I was told this morning that he is going to call the program tomorrow so, I listened to his entire presentation while riding today and decided that with a bit of effort I can, in fact, make something educational out of what is otherwise an amazing example of nearly cultic thinking. So we will cover his entire presentation and then invite him to be our guest to expand on any points and answer some questions. 2pm EDT, 11am MDT, see you then!

Started off catching up with the fact that Bob Larson moved to Scottsdale (in the Phoenix area), and is busily plying his exorcism trade, now in company with his 18 year old daughter! How exciting! Yesterday on the Dividing Line: More on Paul Williams and Callers

Dove back into the Paul Williams debate a bit, then took callers on a wide variety of topics, finishing off with a call about dreams of Jesus amongst Muslims. Love the variety of calls we get! Here's the program.Also, you all know how often I play debates, lectures, etc., on the Dividing Line, and interact with them. Well, a program that I found really useful for doing that, called Audio Notetaker, is now available in Mac (which is why I had stopped using it when we made changes to the studio computers). It sure would make marking and responding to sermons, talks, etc., much easier! I've put a copy on the Ministry Resource List.

Talked briefly about California outlawing offering hope to young homosexuals as a wonderful example of what I've been saying for decades now: homosexuals do not want equal rights, they want uber rights. And leftist politicians will sell their souls to anyone with a large enough donation, so voila! "Law." You know what? Law loses its compelling force with men of morals and ethics when it becomes capricious and devoid of truth. Just something to keep in mind. Anyway, we then took questions on a wide variety of issues, including faith as a gift of God, and then I closed with some more thoughts on the last debate we had in London.
