The Protestant Reformation was largely started in protest of unbiblical elements of Roman soteriology. James White reads through key elements of their modern catechism to demonstrate that these key problems concerning salvation. On the cross, Jesus did much more than make men saveable, he did save them.
Started off with a statement on the “Burning Qur’an’s” fiasco, took a call on Oneness Pentecostalism from London, concluded my comments on Marc Ayer’s claims, took more calls, and finished up with part of the cross-examination between myself and Robert Sungenis from our debate on Papal Infallibility in Florida.
Started off with comments on tomorrow’s Dr. Drew Show, then did a reading/review of Jordan Cooper’s article about the ESV, and then managed just a few minutes more review of Anjem Choudary. We will be doing a DL, Lord willing, “on the fly” on Wednesday when I return from California, if possible. We will have to announce the time once
We did a special edition of the DL today, a Radio Free Geneva. Started by listening to a caller to Steve Gregg’s show, Rick, who I mentioned in the previous DL. Then I moved on to respond to Steve Gregg’s comments on Romans 9, but, before playing what he has to say, I wanted to work through the text myself. So,
Mainly discussed the move toward embracing transgenderism as a proper Christian viewpoint by the Church of England in the first half hour, and then moved to a discussion of a textual variant in Hebrews 1:3 as an illustration of a number of things in the second half hour. Well, we are STILL battling a regular ‘Phoenix’ kind of problem this week in the office with an air conditioner that is out.
