The Vatican released a new document today on Jewish/Christian relationship and the Old and New Covenants (found here). It is a lengthy, verbose testimony to the maxim, “Theology Matters” and a very eloquent witness to the necessity of sola scriptura. Then I addressed “putting the shoe on the other foot,” specifically, how we Christians are oh so properly skeptical about religious “polling” when it is said to represent us, but oh so willing to believe it when it represents others.
