A Wednesday Dividing Line

Just got my copies of the current CRI Journal, and the cover article is my own two-part series on Bible translations: “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.” I’m sure I’ll take some heat on this series, but mainly for not being as mean and nasty as my alleged reputation. When it comes to Bible translation, I have found that

First, I’ve been hearing from a number of sources that Ergun Caner’s name has disappeared from the Fall teaching schedule at Liberty. This seems to lend a fair amount of support to the supposition that the year “teaching” contract was nothing more than “Here, take a year to look for another position.” Those who have been running about yelling “Exonerated!”

A few weeks ago I noted that I had to re-install Windows after a motherboard upgrade (Mac cultists enjoyed that a lot). All of my programs are back and happy and everything…except for one. I listen to a LOT of music on my computer, and back about 2002 I purchased the full-bore, life-time upgrade, super-duper version of MusicMatch Jukebox Plus.

I can’t guarantee much insight on my part, but, I am home, so, we will be doing the DL at the regular time in the morning. I had a fairly uneventful trip home, and am tremendously thankful to all the pastors and churches in New Jersey and Long Island that made the past ten days so special.
